Isaías Rodríguez, having witnessed the conjunction of medical, physical and spiritual care, once told his son Roberto: “Have you noticed that patients come to our church? They have spiritual problems, but they also have health problems. Son, if you could help them in both of those aspects, the physical and the spiritual… that would be fabulous.”
Right there, the idea of becoming a medical missionary was sown on Roberto Rodríguez.
An enduring dream started to grow, and Roberto responded to the calling. His father’s dream would have major consequences in his life and, by extension, on the work this pilgrim doctor would carry out, and on the life of many others.
